As the Meru Mission in Kenya continues we are amazed to see how God is working in this city. All the volunteers have now arrived, ready for duty. In total, there are over 1500 local volunteers alone and almost 800 who have come from surrounding cities to minister. We are so thankful for all our volunteers who sacrifice their time and money to come and share the Gospel with the people of Meru for a week. Praise God!

Students Respond to the Gospel
On Friday, several school outreaches were held. Our volunteers ministered the Gospel to 25,213 students. Of those, 2,695 students made confessions of faith! We’re excited to see what more God will do this week!

Sweep our Hearts
On Saturday, the volunteers gathered to sweep the streets. They were supported by local government officials including the Meru Town Administrator, and Minister of the Environment, Carol Mutiga. This vital task is at the heart of all AE Missions. It is an act of humility and service toward the community we are preparing to minister in and it is also a symbol of our desire for Christ to sweep hearts clean from the sin and entanglements of the world.
We always use this time to saturate the city in prayer and share the Gospel with those who have us why we are doing such a dirty job.
A Key to the City
On Sunday the local church leaders handed over a symbolic key to the city to AE as a sign of cooperation and support in the task ahead. Celebration and excitement were in the air as the 500 volunteers present came forward to be commissioned by Bishop Buria, the Guest Speaker. He prayed for the group and the volunteer missionaries were released for door to door ministry where many people were impacted by the Gospel.
Stay tuned as stories of changed lives begin to emerge from Meru and please continue to pray with us! We need your support! Consider giving toward AE missions. We have many missions left to complete this year and your help is greatly needed.
