As the mission in Meru continues, we are seeing God do amazing things and we are thankful for your support and prayer along the way!
Over the past few days, ministry teams have been knocking on doors, visiting schools and prisons and reaching out to the government and leaders all to share the good new of the Gospel.
AE CEO Stephen Mbogo and visiting minister Oscar from AE Uganda spoke at a local school about the dangers of Drug and Substance abuse. “Search your hearts,” Mbogo said. “and seek God’s help in leading your life. Be brave and don’t be afraid to go against the grain.”
“Be brave and don’t be afraid to go against the grain.”
Oscar of AE Uganda shared his own history of alcoholism and how Christ helped him overcome his addiction. After the talk, several students came forward to discuss their own struggles with substance addiction and Oscar prayed for them.
The team also visited a women’s prison and erected a permanent structure to provide shade for the 300 inmates. It was a much needed help. The project was shared between AE and the Jireh Fund team from Hong Kong who are passionate about Africa and are longterm partners with us in mission.
“This visit has been a great encouragement for me. Thank you for coming!”
Catherine, one of the inmates who accepted Christ while in prison, gave her testimony to her fellow prisoners. She told the women that she’s accepted this sentence as a learning experience and she’s thankful to God for all that she’s been through. She now helps lead worship for believing inmates and tries to be a witness to the unbelievers. “This visit has been a great encouragement for me. Thank you for coming!” she said.
The women in the prison were so thankful for the shade, they sang the team a song and we shared the Gospel with them. Several women gave their lives to the Lord. Praise God!
“The mission has reached 93.046 people with the Gospel. Of those, 12,409 have made confessions of faith.”

Continue to pray for us! Especially for the evening sessions which are reaching out to the city leaders, politicians and business owners.
