Thanking God for His Faithfulness
The Kigali Mission in Rwanda concluded on Sunday and we are so thankful to God for everything He has done, and for you, our partners in this great work.
AE Rwanda Team Leader, John Kalenzi told us, “The team is buzzing as we see the results of such hard work. By His grace, we have seen a very fruitful and an amazing mission week, and we are so thankful to the Holy Spirit who prepared people’s hearts to receive Jesus as Lord and Savior.”
Throughout the week, they reached 47,382 people, and 4,502 of them made a confession of faith to accept Jesus Christ into their hearts!
Together with different volunteers from the US and Rwanda, the AE Team preached the Good News of Jesus Christ at 97 different gatherings, which included; churches, primary and secondary schools, universities, prisons, intercessors gatherings, various community gatherings and soccer games. Throughout the week, they reached 47,382 people, and 4,502 of them made a confession of faith to accept Jesus Christ into their hearts! What a great harvest that the Lord gave us in the mission week!
Samuel has Peace
Samuel is one of the many who committed his life to Christ this week after following his wife to a women’s meeting. Samuel told us, “I have lived a very bad life. I used to drink a lot of alcohol and commit adultery with many women even though I’m married with four children! I didn’t have any hope or peace in my life.
“Last night,” he added, “while I was sleeping, I awoke to the feeling of being strangled! I struggled and shouted and thankfully I was freed. When I tried to go back to sleep, I heard a voice telling me to go get prayer the very next day. I had no idea where to go for prayer in the middle of the week.”
I heard a voice telling me to go get prayer the very next day.
“I was pondering these things while at a meeting that my wife invited me to. She is a member of AE Rwanda’s Self-Help programme and it was Christians who had come to preach and pray with us! I was thrilled! I listened to the preacher attentively, as he talked about Jesus Christ, who alone can save us from our sins and give us true peace. After he was done, I felt deeply convicted of all my sin, and decided to give my life to the Lord Jesus Christ. As soon as I had confessed my sins and asked Jesus to come into my heart, I felt great peace, accompanied with a lot of joy!”
“I am so happy to be a Christian! I believe that the peace that Jesus has given me will spread to my entire family! Thank you for coming to tell me about Jesus. I’m a new person now.”
Please continue to pray for those who’ve made decisions for Christ during the mission and for our team who are busy connecting those new believers with local churches.
As we look ahead to the Meru Mission in Kenya which begins soon, we ask that you would consider partnering with us financially so that we can reach more and more people with the life-saving message of the Gospel!
